As a woman pushed out of my own newsroom of 21 years for being "insubordinate" to a male editor, I naturally have many feelings relating to the unceremonious dumping of New York Times Editor Jill Abramson for being brusque and demanding equal pay.

But I'm also over all this, y'know. It's not my fight anymore. I fought for a long time, and hard, and I kinda lost. And it took a toll and I'm still fucking angry but I'm also tired. And writing novels now.

Time for a new generation of female journalists to fight this one. Good luck.
